Condition and Description: Two octavo volumes, publisher’s morocco leather and cloth stamped in gilt, marbled edges and endpapers, frontispieces with tissue guards, several other plates with tissue guards within. Vol. 1: 584 pp.; Vol. 2: 654 pp. (+index, errata). Complete, with all pages, tissue guards, and foldouts present. Gilt uncommonly bright. Rubbing to the leather and cloth. Hinges and binding firm. No writing or underlining. Foldout of Vol. 1 with tissue repairs to the folds of the blank side. Pages generally clean and bright, with very occasional minor imperfections. An attractive set.
