Condition and Description: Octavo, quarter cloth spine stamped in gilt, patterned paper-covered boards, top edge dyed red, other edges plain, red endpapers. 319 pp. Boards with light rubbing, surface wear, and soiling. Gilt legible. Bookplate to the front free endpaper. Clean pages, without writing or underlining, but with a very occasional age spot. Upper corner of p. 15 creased. Dust jacket toned and lightly soiled, with losses and creasing to the crown and front panel, a puncture to the fold of the front flap, some age spotting, and an ink note dated 1958 to the verso of the crown (not visible from the front). Housed in archival mylar.
